A New Kind of Consumer Medical Device
Basil Leaf Technologies is developing DxtER, a consumer product designed to diagnose and monitor illnesses in the comfort of your own home. At the heart of DxtER is a diagnostic engine based on analysis of actual patient data and years of experience in clinical emergency medicine.
DxtER includes a collection of non-invasive sensors custom-designed to collect data about a person's vital signs, body chemistry, and biological functions. The engine pulls together this data, patient history, physical exam, and special studies to make a quick and accurate assessment. DxtER functions autonomously, but can also share important medical information with your healthcare providers, at your discretion.
DxtER was originally designed by Basil Leaf Technologies for the global $10 million Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE competition under the Final Frontier Medical Devices team name. As of December 2016, Basil Leaf Technologies is one of two remaining finalist teams in the competition.
